Hero came to us at twelve weeks old, a beautiful baby we would raise for the show ring. It didn’t take long for us to realize that behind his sweet face was an extraordinary mind. Hero understands what we say—and often seems to understand the slightest expression on our faces. He is a deeply sweet and sensitive soul. If voices are raised on television, Hero is out of there, retreating to his pen where everything is calm and quiet. He knows what he likes, reads every room, and never misses a thing. Hero has a beautiful, gentle face and a truly exceptional coat, qualities he consistently passes on to his puppies. Again and again, their families share stories of them doing remarkably intelligent things, and we always smile because we know exactly where that came from. Hero is also a record-holder. From his very first time in the show ring, he completed his Bronze Grand Championship in just 72 days—an extraordinary achievement that reflects his beauty, quality, and unmistakable presence. For all his accomplishments, Hero is happiest in the role he seems to understand was made just for him: beloved head stud of Storybook Maltese.
