Karma

Karma’s story began long before she came to Storybook. She was bred by the late Sharon Girven, a longtime Maltese breeder whose work represents decades of dedication to the breed. Karma was the final dog Sharon kept from her program—a living connection to an American line nearly forty years in the making. Before Sharon’s passing, Karma went to our friend Tammy. When Tammy later decided to step away from breeding, she entrusted Karma to us. After all the unexpected turns that brought her here, there could be no more fitting name. To us, her arrival felt like karma—and a beautiful moment of cosmic symmetry. Karma is more than a treasured dog; she is a true legacy. Through her, generations of careful breeding can continue forward rather than quietly disappear. We hope that many of her descendants will enter show homes, carrying the quality and accomplishments behind her into the future of American Maltese lines. Her registered name, Storybook’s Cosmic Symmetry, honors both the extraordinary path that brought her to us and the heritage we are privileged to preserve.
